Picus Capital Overview

Picus Capital was formed in 2003 with the goal of becoming the leading leveraged finance investor in Europe. We are one of the first hedge fund managers investing primarily in leveraged finance instruments of European corporate issuers. We have the most experienced team of non-investment grade professionals in Europe and have built a scalable business platform designed to handle the requirements of the instruments that we trade. Our goal is to create high and sustainable absolute returns in a risk-controlled environment over the medium term.

We are fundamental, research driven, bottom-up investors. Using the over 15 years average experience in non-investment grade markets of our investment specialists, we analyze a company's credit profile and look for opportunities to exploit market mis-pricing or the relative performance between two different credits or instruments of the same issuer.

We are active managers, taking long and short positions in various European leveraged finance instruments including senior bank loans, high yield bonds, credit default swaps and related indices. We also have the ability and experience to invest in mezzanine debt, convertible bonds, preference shares and equity if it is the most efficient method to implement our credit view.

On 1 July 2004, we launched the Picus Venator Fund.
